The DC Health Vital Records Division (DCVRD)'s Office is the central office for the state of District of Columbia and it issues certified copies of Washington, DC birth certificates, Washington, DC death certificates and Washington, DC marriage records for events that occurred in Washington, DC. You may order copies of District of Columbia vital records through this office or, in some cases, the office of the county clerk where the deed happened.
