Nebraska is a state in the Midwestern region of the United States. It is the only triply landlocked U.S. state, being surrounded by South Dakota to the north, Iowa to the east, Missouri to the southeast, Kansas to the south, Colorado to the southwest, and Wyoming to the west.

The main counties are Douglas County (the most populated county), Lancaster County, Sarpy County, Hall County, and Buffalo County. Lincoln is the capital of Nebraska, and its largest city is Omaha. 

Nebraska Vital Records in Lincoln issues and maintains vital records for the state of Nebraska. Birth and death certificates are available from late 1904, while marriage and divorce documents start from January 1909.
