State Office

The Oregon Vital Records Office's Office is the central office for the state of Oregon and it issues certified copies of Multnomah birth certificates, Multnomah death certificates and Multnomah marriage records for events that occurred in Multnomah. You may order copies of Oregon vital records through this office or, in some cases, the office of the county clerk where the deed happened.

Oregon is situated in the Pacific Northwest region of the Western U.S., with the Columbia River running along most of its northern border with Washington, and the Snake River along most of the eastern border with Idaho.

The main counties are Multnomah County, Washington County, Clackamas County, Lane County, and Marion County.

Vital records for events in Oregon are maintained by Oregon Vital Records in Portland. The office has birth and death records since 1903, marriage records from 1911, and divorce records from 1925.
