The Virginia Department of Health - Office of Vital Records's Office is the central office for the state of Virginia and it issues certified copies of Richmond birth certificates, Richmond death certificates and Richmond marriage records for events that occurred in Richmond. You may order copies of Virginia vital records through this office or, in some cases, the office of the county clerk where the deed happened.
