Wyoming (WY) Vital Records

You can expect the processing time of your request for a Wyoming birth certificate copy to last up to five business days once it is received. A parent or legal representative may also request a birth record.

In Wyoming, it is mandatory to provide a small payment to receive a copy of a birth certificate or a copy of a record.

For each copy that you order, 25 dollars must be made payable to Vital Statistics Services with either a check or money order. 

Failure to pay the accurate amount when applying will result in longer processing times or even the cancellation of your birth certificate request.

To receive your birth certificate copy, it’s essential to include a legitimate photocopy of identification with your application. 

In Wyoming, you may include a photocopy of one of the following as your photo ID: 

• Driver’s license

• State photo ID 

• Passport

Ensure that the form of identification that you choose is not expired at the time you send in your application. 

You also have the option to have your signature notarized as a form of identification.
